I'm stressed out of my mind! Think I am going to fail my dental classes!! Ughh!! - I'm tired Dental student, I hear that the thought of failing your dental classes really stresses you out. Here are some options: Keep studying and make sure you give yourself time to relax and decompress as you do study. You could also speak to another student anonymously and confidentially, much like you've contacted me through U-TYPE. You can call U-CALL, the University Community After-hours Listening Line, at (206) 543-2255 any time after 5:30 PM until 7:30 AM in the morning. U-CALL will be open all of finals week and will resume operation the first day of winter quarter. You could reflect on what is the worst that could happen if you did fail the dental classes, and come to realize that while painful and upsetting, we can eventually get through even the worst things that happen to us. :) Thanks for reaching out and good luck on your finals! U-TYPE Dear Helper, I need help. I feel confused, lost, directionless. What should I do? Where should I go? I'm scared. Yours truly, Scared - Help Dear Scared, It sounds like you're pretty overwhelmed by your loss. Sadly, I can't tell you what to do to feel better. Luckily, though, you know how you handle your stress best. Do you like to write, listen to music, go running, or take bubble baths to soothe your mind and decompress? Try taking some time to clear your mind and sort things out. Let us know if you need help sorting your thoughts out - we're here to listen. Sometimes it helps to talk about what's troubling you. Please call us at (206) 543-2255 to speak anonymously and confidentially to a student volunteer - nobody will ever know you called!
